I have been taking pictures of these two little cuties for a while now. Every year their mom plans a photoshoot around their birthdays. This year we did their birthday shoot at Simmons Farm in McMurray, PA. I love Simmons Farm! Simmons Farm has a large field with several different types of flowers. It is gorgeous! Not to mention, the tire swing is so cute! Here are some of my favorite pictures from Kaitlyn and Emily’s session!

Pittsburgh Photographers Family | Simmons Farm Family Photography | Picking Strawberries

I love that there are so many fun things I can do with my girls over the summer! Some of my favorite activities are strawberry, wildflower, blueberry, and peach picking at Simmons Farm! Check out the blog posts from us picking strawberries and blueberries last year! There is something so sweet about spending the morning on a farm and then heading home to make something together as a family with the fruit that we picked.

On Thursday, we headed out early in the morning. It was a beautiful sunny day. The girls were running up and down the rows looking for the perfect strawberries. After filling up one big box with strawberries, we left the farm and then headed to the store to the ingredients to make strawberry shortcake. The strawberries were delicious! We ate through the entire box in one day.

I am really looking forward to picking wildflowers next! I can’t wait for them to open up the fields in a few weeks!!!

Simmons Farm Peters Townships PA Family Photos | Picking Strawberries

Two weeks ago we spent the day at Simmons Farm in Peters Township picking strawberries! My girls absolutely loved it! Allie was so fast I could hardly keep up with her. She was running down the rows and grabbing a random strawberry here and there. We talked about how you can tell which strawberries were ready to be picked, but her favorite ones to grab were the little green baby ones. Adalyn even added a couple of mushy strawberries to the basket. The entire ride home Allie was planning all of the fun things that we could make with our strawberries. Instead of going home right away, we headed over to the grocery store to pick up what we needed to make strawberry shortcake. Here are just a few of my favorites from our day out at Simmons Farm!
