I had so much fun taking Sophie’s senior photos! She wanted to do her senior pictures in Schenley Park and on the University of Pittsburgh campus. It was really cold and snowy on the day of her session. I was worried we were going to need to reschedule, but she wanted to go for it and I am so glad she did! Pittsburgh Senior Portrait Photography | Schenley Plaza and University of Pittsburgh Senior Photos | Madelyn

Madelyn’s session was so much fun! Madelyn just got accepted into the University of Pittsburgh! Because of this, Madelyn’s mom suggested the University of Pittsburgh as a possible location for her session. I absolutely loved the idea! We met up by the carousel in Schenley Plaza and grab a couple of really fun portraits there before heading over to the Cathedral of Learning. I have taken pictures at the Cathedral of Learning a couple of times before but never notice the cute wrought iron gate going into the bottom level. As I was taking pictures of Madelyn in front of the wrought iron gate, a group of fraternity men walked by. When Madelyn’s mom asked if we could get a couple of pictures of Madelyn with them, I said YES!!!! That was by far my favorite moment during the session and will go down as one of the most memorable experiences on a shoot of all time! Here are a couple of my favorite pictures from Madelyn’s session.

Family Photographers in Pittsburgh | Schenley Park Family Photography | S Family

Before Jean and Ryan moved back to California, they wanted to have pictures of their family taken in Pittsburgh so that they could always look back and remember their time here. We did their session at Schenley Park and at Carnegie Mellon University. Even though it was the middle of November, it was an absolutely beautiful morning! I love how the sun lit up the fall foliage. I had so much fun taking pictures as they interacted and played with Zoe! My favorite part of the session was at the end when Jean and Zoe were playing in the leaves! Zoe was so cute as she gathered sticks and leaves. Shortly after their session, Jean, Ryan, and Zoe moved back to California. I am so happy that I got to document their cute family before they left!

Pittsburgh Family Photographer | Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Garden Family Photos | Grace, Andrew, and Nathan

I love everything about Grace and Andrew’s family session! It really does tell a story about their family in this moment in time. Grace, Andrew, and Nathan love to spend their weekends walking around Schenley park, going to Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens and riding the carousel. It was the perfect setting for their family session. My favorite moment was at the end of the session when Nathan kept running back and forth between me and his parents. I have been looking forward to this session for months! Two years ago, I took pictures of Lily in Denver, Colorado. After Alex and I moved to Pennsylvania, I got an email from Dawn. Dawn grew up in Cranberry Township and noticed on my website that I now live in Pittsburgh. She told me that she was going to be in Pennsylvania for a wedding in July and asked if I would take pictures of her, Ryan, and Lily. My heart melted! I couldn’t wait to see them again! Lily has grown up so much since the last time I saw her. I enjoyed watching her personality shine the entire morning. We sang songs, danced, looked at bugs, and played with necklaces and bracelets. But the biggest smile of the day came right after she took a big gulp of lemonade. I have really enjoyed getting to know Ryan and Dawn over the past two years and I was thrilled to find out that they are expecting another baby in December!!! Congratulations Ryan and Dawn!!
