Looking at the photos from this session of family portraits near Pittsburgh makes me so happy! This family is absolutely gorgeous and their love is abounding. We took pictures at Beechwood Farms and oh my gosh is it gorgeous! I loved shooting there with all of the gorgeous Pittsburgh vegetation and trees! Just look at those beautiful purple and white wild flowers! It is definitely one of my favorite locations because of the beautiful wooded trails, wooden fences, pond, and overall rustic vibe! Not to mention Beechwood is huge–134 acres, to be exact–and offers over five miles of hiking trails.

This session was an anniversary gift for Siva and Monica. Because little Kieran had just been born, the family flew to Pittsburgh from Florida to celebrate, and Paul’s mom joined them from Ohio. I absolutely loved spending the morning with everyone! After their session, they headed to the Grand Concourse for a celebratory breakfast.

What a great way to celebrate old memories, by making new ones! Happy Anniversary, Siva and Monica!

Pittsburgh Family Photography | Point State Park Family Photos | Happy Birthday Jennie

Everyone was coming into town to celebrate Jennie’s birthday! Jennifer contacted me and wanted to plan a surprise photo shoot for Jennie right before Jennie’s birthday dinner at Le Mont on Mt. Washington. We planned on doing the session at Point State Park. On the day of Jennie’s surprise session, Jennifer asked me to randomly walk by so that they could ask me to take a picture for them on their phone. After grabbing a couple of pictures on Jennifer’s phone, she turned to Jennie and told her about the surprise. Jennie couldn’t believe it! It was so much fun focusing the entire session on Jennie and her bond with her family! After the session everyone headed over to Mt. Washington for Jennie’s birthday celebration! Everyone was in town for Thanksgiving and it was the perfect opportunity to have an extended family portrait taken. Elizabeth’s family and her siblings’ families wanted to gift their parents with a large family portrait for Christmas. We met up at Nutbrown’s Christmas Tree Farm. It was a beautiful winter day! It was so much fun playing and interacting with all of the children! I love how the children’s matching stripped outfits accented the navy blue, gray, and cream color scheme. Elizabeth and I got together after their session for her premiere. She created a gorgeous wall display for her parents’ home as well as a wall display for her stairway. I really enjoyed Elizabeth and Robert’s family session!
