One of my favorite spots as a senior photographer is downtown Pittsburgh! I absolutely love taking pictures on rooftops, in alleyways, on the bridges, and on the North Shore with the beautiful Pittsburgh city skyline in the background. Pittsburgh PA Photographers | Downtown Pittsburgh | Lucas and Caitlin

I got to do something pretty amazing last month. I had the honor of documenting a proposal! It wasn’t just any proposal either. I got to document Lucas proposing to Caitlin! Getting to document their proposal meant the world to me! I met Lucas and Caitlin a few years ago when I took their senior pictures. Here is the link to Lucas and Caitlin’s senior pictures on the blog. When Lucas’ mom told me that Lucas was planning on proposing when they were in Pittsburgh, I was beyond excited! Lucas did an amazing job planning the most perfect proposal. He secretly had family from all over come into town to celebrate their engagement right after the proposal at a restaurant in the North Shore. It was pretty amazing to just step back and watch document such a meaningful moment in their lives. This will forever be one of my favorite sessions of all time! Congratulations Lucas and Caitlin!!!

Pittsburgh PA Senior Photographer | Downtown Pittsburgh and Mellon Park Senior Pictures | Elizabeth

Elizabeth’s senior session was so much fun! We started her session at Mellon Park and then ended the night at the Roberto Clemente Bridge in downtown Pittsburgh PA. I love the garden and urban combination. Mellon Park is one of my favorite locations in Pittsburgh because of the variety of backdrops it has to offer with the walled garden and cobblestone paths. In addition, I could take pictures on the Roberto Clemente Bridge all night. I love how many different shots that you can get on the bridge just by changing your angle.

On the night of her session, the light was amazing! I love how the sun was shining ever so perfectly on her in the pictures of her in front of the wrought iron gate and steps. At the end of the night, Elizabeth wanted to get a couple of pictures with her soccer shoes and I am so glad she did! I love how the color of her shoes pop in those pictures! Family Photographer Pittsburgh PA | Downtown Pittsburgh and Point State Park Family Photos | Elliott

I have been taking pictures of this little cutie since he was one year old! When I look back at his one year smash the cake session, I can’t believe how little he was! It has been the most amazing experience to get to document his childhood and watch him grow and change over the past 5 years. We have done some pretty fun sessions over the years. I love how every session has a completely different feel from playing in the fall leaves to cutting down a tree at a Christmas tree farm. It is actually hard to believe that it has only been 5 years. I feel like I have known this family forever.

This year, for Elliott’s 6 year session, we headed downtown! We started his session at the Roberto Clemente Bridge and then headed over to Point State Park for the last part of the session. Here are some of my favorite pictures from his session!
