I am getting really excited about tomorrow!  Stacey and Jerrod are getting married at Arrowhead Golf Course.  I have been reading an amazing book called Captured by the Light this week by David Ziser. This book is amazing!  I haven’t been able to put it down all week.  He really walks through an entire wedding day and gave me some really good ideas that I am going to try out tomorrow!

My sister is married!!!!  Alexa and Josh were married on Sunday in Lincoln, Nebraska, at the Wilderness Ridge.  They had an intimate ceremony followed by an amazing reception.  I spent an hour with Alexa and Josh taking pictures around the Wilderness Ridge.  Alexa found some railroad tracks a few minutes from the Ridge.  Alexa wore cowboy boots just for these photos and she found an camouflage colored garter as a surprise for Josh.  I loved watching them hold each other as I took the photos.  It was obvious that they deeply care about each other and that they couldn’t wait to be husband and wife.  After there ceremony, Tom gave all of the groomsmen an engraved flask and cigars which they smoked on the patio.  After taking the family photos, Alexa and Josh walked into a ballroom filled with family and friends. The night was started with an amazing country band playing their first song, Shameless.  Followed by Alexa and Josh cutting their cake.  The cake was made with love by our mom, Bonnie Muhs.  I loved the raspberry filling!  At the end of the night we all loaded into the limo and ended the night with a night cap at a bar in the neighborhood.  Congratulations Alexa and Josh!

I just spent the entire weekend in Lincoln, Nebraska, for my sister’s wedding.  Taking pictures at my sister’s wedding was one of the most amazing experiences of my life.  There is something about documenting and being a part of the entire day.  She truly planned a beautiful wedding.  All of the little details were so perfect.  My favorite part about the entire day was everyone was so involved.  I will be posting pictures tonight!

I can’t wait for wedding season to start.  Only two more weeks!  I am taking pictures at my sisters wedding in Lincoln, Nebraska.  I am really looking forward to jumping in the car on Saturday morning with a delicious chai in one hand and Alex’s hand in the other.  My idea of the perfect morning.

I was talking to my sister today and we came up with some really cute picture ideas.  She really wants to wear cowboy boots with her wedding dress for pictures.  Once I heard that, I knew that I had to convince her to bring her cowboy hat as well.  I am envisioning Josh twirling Alexa around with the railroad tracks in the background while she is holding onto her cowboy hat!

I am really looking forward to having fun in the field that day!

Shana and Brian are such an amazing couple.  I have really enjoyed taking their engagement and wedding photos.  Their wedding was so beautiful.  My favorite part about the entire weekend was our little adventure finding Crested Butte.  We drove up to Crested Butte on Friday after Laura arrived in Denver at 6:30 p.m.  I love road trips!  When we were driving into Gunnison, Colorado, we were so focused on finding a bathroom, we ended up missing our exit.  We drove 45 minutes past our exit and ended up in a National Forest.  I was so nervous  and completely exhausted as we drove up and down the mountains driving 10 miles/ hour through the fog.  It wasn’t until we almost hit our 3rd deer that we decided to look at the map.  After turning around, we finally made it to Crested Butte at 2:30 a.m.

I fell in love with Crested Butte the minute I saw it!  Shana and Brian were married at the top of the mountain.  The guests took the ski lift up the mountain.  After the wedding we found a beautiful spot filled with aspens.  This is one of my favorite photos of the day.  I absolutely loved everything about this wedding.
