Pittsburgh Wedding Photographer | Nicolette Dixon Photography | Amanda and John

As a Pittsburgh wedding photographer, I was asked to photograph Amanda and John when they got married on October 5 at the Silverthorne Pavilion in Silverthorne, Colorado.  The night before their wedding there was a blizzard and they closed I-70.  The morning of their wedding, there was not a cloud in the sky.  The sun was shining and it was a beautiful fall day.  The combination of fall leaves lightly covered with snow made an absolutely gorgeous setting for their wedding day.  They had their wedding ceremony outside with beautiful snow topped mountains as their backdrop.

Everything from the flowers to the centerpieces went along with the fall theme.  During the ceremony, Amanda and John used cracked corn and sunflower seeds instead of sand during the sand ceremony.  The tables were labeled with names of different types of trees in Colorado.  During the cocktail hour the guests snacked on popcorn and nuts.  At the reception, there was a candy bar filled with candy corn and nuts, pumpkin hershey kisses, and salted caramel cupcakes.   My favorite detail on their wedding day was their wedding cake.   I love that it was made by Amanda’s mom!!!!!    I had the pleasure of shooting with Trevor Gass on their wedding day.  Amanda and John’s wedding was so beautiful!  Here are some pictures from their wedding day!!!!
