As a Pittsburgh PA family photographer, I am always checking out new locations.  All of the leaves had already fallen off of the trees and I wanted to find a location that was still gorgeous this time of year.   I got in my car and checked out several hiking trails.  This trail was by far my favorite!  I loved the tall grass and the way the light shined through the trees.  It was the perfect location for Chrissy and Steven’s fun and playful family session.   Tess and Jay are beyond adorable!  I love Tess’ gorgeous eyes and Jay has the most contagious smile!

I asked Chrissy to write a few words about their experience.

“It was already late in November when I got the idea of getting professional photos for our family’s holiday cards. Nicolette was great, working with our schedule to get a photo session scheduled as soon as possible. For our session Nicolette chose a beautiful location and when I saw the lovely creek and high grass I got even more excited for our photos. Unfortunately, my daughter, Tess, did not share my enthusiasm; she was more interested in walking along the water, picking up sticks and jumping around than she was in staying still for a picture. I started to worry that forcing Tess to participate in the photos might lead to a tantrum, but I didn’t need to be concerned. Nicolette used genuine warmth and a sense of playfulness to make the session fun for everyone. Working with toddler twins has to be a challenge, but with creative techniques and tons of patience, Nicolette did an amazing job. Looking at some of the photos of my son, Jay, I can almost hear his infectious giggle and she captured Tess’s sweet smile perfectly. I ended up with adorable holiday cards to share and wonderful keepsake photos for our family.” -Chrissy
