I am always working on my website, marketing, blogging and using social media.  A month ago my mother decided to follow her dreams and launch her bakery, S’more Cake.  I immediately suggested that she should come here so that I could help her set up her website, photograph her cakes, get her set up with social media (and of course eat some cake).   The past four weeks have been amazing!  I love that she was a part of our everyday life for an entire month.   We got to talk, laugh, and have fun together all day everyday.   I will cherish the time that I got to spend with her for the rest of my life.   My mother is someone that I have always looked up to.  She is always positive and has a smile on her face.   Although we worked most of the time she was here, we took a couple of days off to just have fun.

I am so proud of everything we have accomplished while she was here.  You have to check out her website, S’more Cake, it is beautiful!  Here are couple of cakes that she made while she was here.   I am so proud of her!  She is so talented and her cakes are delicious!

“I really enjoyed designing wedding cakes during my time with Nicolette of Nicolette Dixon Photography.  My daughter Nicolette has a photography business and does fantastic work with her portrait and wedding photography. She did my wedding pictures and I treasure them very much. I am very proud of her talent and appreciated all of her help. She encouraged me as we worked side by side during the four weeks I was there, designing my web site and Facebook business page. She has a “good eye” and I trust her judgement completely. We had a lot of fun exchanging ideas and I had the best time with her.

It was with her encouragement several weeks ago and her help that I was able to take a leap of faith in working towards a dream of mine to design wedding cakes in a business venture of my own.
