The past 9 months have been incredible.  Allie just started saying “ma ma ma ma” yesterday.  I know, I know….  She is probably just making sounds, but every time she does it I pick her up and give her a bunch of kisses.  She giggles and gives me a big hug.  Since I started doing that, all I have heard in the past 24 hours is “ma ma ma ma.”  Needless to say I have been giving her lots of hugs and kisses lately:)  This month she has also started pulling a blanket over her face.  Then as soon as I would say, “Where’s Allie?” she would drop the blanket and laugh when I would say, “Peek a Boo!”

I have always wanted to cut down our very own Christmas tree.  This year Paula mentioned that her family has been cutting down their own Christmas tree for years at Hozak Farms in Clinton, PA.  I could not wait to start that tradition with my family this year.  I was so excited!  We loaded up into the car, grabbed a Starbucks and headed off to Clinton, PA.  When we got there, we got onto the hay rack ride.  Unfortunately plans changed.  Allie cried the entire time on the hay rack ride and while we were trying to decide what tree we wanted.  We ended up deciding that maybe next year we would start this tradition.  We got in the car and drove to the barn where we picked out a beautiful tree.  Just as we were loading the tree onto the top of the car, Allie started smiling:)

I had no idea what Allie could get her dad for Christmas.  A friend of mine mentioned this cute idea.  I LOVE it!!!   I can not wait for Alex to open this on Christmas!  So cute!!

My little girl turned 4 months old on November 21.  This past month has been amazing.  When Allie was born she would only look off to the side.  She wasn’t tracking us as we walked around the room or even looking at us.  We had to see a neurologist and an ophthalmologist in October. This past month she has started to make eye contact and follow things when we play with her!  She also just found her tongue the day before Thanksgiving.  She keeps sticking it out all the time.  I think it is so cute.  She is also starting to look back at us when we are reading to her at night.  I will place her in my lap but after I start reading she arches her head back so that she can see me:)  On top of all of that, last night she started rolling over!!!

Do I really have to put her costume away?  I had so much fun this month!  I have been looking forward to October since Allie was born.  I couldn’t wait to take her to the Triple B Farms pumpkin patch, carve pumpkins, eat caramel apples, go on a hayrack ride, go to Zoo Boo at the Pittsburgh Zoo, hand out candy to trick or treaters, and make pumpkin bars!!!   Now that Halloween is over, I am a little sad that I have to put her cute little tinker bell costume away.  This has been an incredible month!  We got the Pottery Barn Kids catalogue in the mail this weekend with all of their cute Christmas stockings.  I can’t wait to pick out one for Allie.  I can’t believe I am already getting excited for Christmas and it is only November.  I am pretty sure I will be decorating the day after Thanksgiving!
