Family Portrait Photographer Pittsburgh | Mellon Park Family Photos | Annie, Brian, and Colin

Annie, Brian, and Colin love spending time walking around Mellon Park with their dog, Jackson.  It is one of their favorite places to go as a family making it the perfect setting for their session. Mellon Park is definitely one of my top favorite locations in the Pittsburgh area.   The walled garden has a whimsical secret garden feel to it with the wrought iron gates, fountain, cobble stone roads, and stone walls. We met up for a sunrise session. The morning glow added a gorgeous touch to an already beautiful setting. I absolutely love that Annie and Brian wanted a couple of portraits with Jackson.   In addition, I was able to get a couple of really cute one year portraits of Colin with some blue and green balloons.   My favorite part about the session was when Annie requested to have a couple of pictures taken of Colin reading one of his favorite books.   I always love when we are able to make a session even more meaningful by documenting those special moments and things you like to do as a family. Here are a couple of my favorite pictures from Annie and Brian’s family session.

I asked Annie and Brian if they could write a couple of sentences about their experience and this is what they wrote.

“My husband Brian and I wanted to capture the special occasion of our son’s first birthday.  We have never done professional family photos before, and we were referred to Nicolette Dixon through a friend.  The entire experience with Nicolette was great – she made us feel comfortable right away (especially since both of us are very camera shy).  She was able to capture very natural and genuine photos, and really captured the fun loving personality of our son through her great photos.  She was also very patient with our rambunctious dog whom we wanted to be in the some of the photos!  We were really happy with how all the photos came out and now will have some really wonderful memories of our son at 1 year old, and of our family together.  We’ll look forward to the next time with Nicolette!”-Annie
