Pittsburgh Family Photography | Point State Park Family Photos | Happy Birthday Jennie

Everyone was coming into town to celebrate Jennie’s birthday! Jennifer contacted me and wanted to plan a surprise photo shoot for Jennie right before Jennie’s birthday dinner at Le Mont on Mt. Washington. We planned on doing the session at Point State Park. On the day of Jennie’s surprise session, Jennifer asked me to randomly walk by so that they could ask me to take a picture for them on their phone. After grabbing a couple of pictures on Jennifer’s phone, she turned to Jennie and told her about the surprise. Jennie couldn’t believe it! It was so much fun focusing the entire session on Jennie and her bond with her family! After the session everyone headed over to Mt. Washington for Jennie’s birthday celebration! Here are a few of my favorite pictures from her session!

I love that in the spring wildflowers are everywhere! When Lauren and I were planning her session, she mentioned that she would like her session stylized around picking wildflowers in a field. I was so excited and couldn’t wait to start scoping out locations! I found a beautiful spot along the Montour Trail in Robinson, PA, that was filled with white and purple wildflowers and a field of daisies close by. The evening of their session it was perfect! I love how beautiful the sun lit up Marley and Berkeley’s hair as they picked flowers. My favorite part of the session was when we headed over to the field of daisies. There were snails everywhere!!! It was so much fun to see how excited Marley and Berkeley got when they found a snail! Here are some of my favorite pictures from their session!

Pittsburgh Family Portrait Photographers | Soergel Orchards Family Photos | Lauren and Nolan

I love that Lauren wanted to do a mommy and me session with her son Nolan! Lauren is so beautiful inside and out and the bond that she has with Nolan is adorable. I first met Lauren a little under a year ago when we did Nolan’s one year session. It is amazing to see how much Nolan has changed since the last time I saw him. One thing that I loved about this session was even though he has grown up into the cutest little toddler, he is still the same little explorer he was a year ago. The entire session he was picking up rocks and playing with the dandelions. It was such a relaxing and fun session. I really enjoyed documenting Lauren and Nolan snuggling up together, reading books, blowing dandelion seeds, and playing with trucks!

I asked Lauren to write a couple of sentences about her experience and this is what she wrote.

Pittsburgh Family Portrait Photographers | Butler PA Family Photography | Decorating Christmas Cookies

It is not very often that Randy and Phil’s entire family is in town at the same time. Before everyone headed back home, Randy and Phil wanted to have a family portrait taken. We got together the morning after Thanksgiving at Cypher’s Christmas Tree Farm in Butler. It ended up being extremely cold that day so we quickly grabbed some family portraits and then headed back the Randy and Phil’s house to warm up and decorate Christmas cookies. The entire morning was filled with laughter! My favorite part of the session was when Randy and Phil were playing in the leaves with their grandchildren. I can still hear everyone laughing as they tossed the leaves into the air!
