As a Pittsburgh photographer, I love stylized sessions. Allison was just a doll in the pink tulle Little Dreamers Tutus handmade dress by Whitney Crimefighter! One of my favorite moments during the Magic within Shootout in Wexford, Pennsylvania, was when we placed the pink chair in the middle of a field of flowers. The purple and white flowers accented her gorgeous dress perfectly. Here are some of my favorite pictures of Allison!

One of the things that I absolutely love to do in the summer is spend the day at a farm picking fruit. Earlier this summer I found out that you can pick your own blueberries at Soergel Orchards in Wexford, PA. Allie and Adalyn both loved it! Allie was very focused the entire time we were there and made sure she picked only the ripe blueberries. Adalyn on the other hand just picked anything that was within her reach.

The next day Allie and I made delicious blueberry muffins for breakfast. Here are some of my favorite pictures from our morning at Soergels!

Simmons Farm Peters Townships PA Family Photos | Picking Strawberries

Two weeks ago we spent the day at Simmons Farm in Peters Township picking strawberries! My girls absolutely loved it! Allie was so fast I could hardly keep up with her. She was running down the rows and grabbing a random strawberry here and there. We talked about how you can tell which strawberries were ready to be picked, but her favorite ones to grab were the little green baby ones. Adalyn even added a couple of mushy strawberries to the basket. The entire ride home Allie was planning all of the fun things that we could make with our strawberries. Instead of going home right away, we headed over to the grocery store to pick up what we needed to make strawberry shortcake. Here are just a few of my favorites from our day out at Simmons Farm!

There is something about kids playing in puddles that is so innocent and pure. I absolutely loved watching Allie and Adalyn’s face light up with joy as they splashed in the water! I just sat back, embrassed the moment, and documented them being kids. I didn’t care how messy they got. By the time we got home, their pants were completely covered in mud, but it was completely worth it just to see how much joy it brought to them that day! Here are just a few of my favorite pictures of our evening playing in the muddy puddles!

Sewickley Kid Photographer | Nicolette Dixon Photography | Sewickley, Pennsylvania | First Snow

As a Sewickley kid photographer, I love to take pictures of kids playing in the snow! Unfortunately, it has not snowed very much this winter at all. In fact, it has felt more like fall than winter with the temperatures in the 60s the past couple of weeks. So, when we saw that it snowing outside we quickly grabbed our winter coats and ran outside. We knew it would only last a couple of minutes and we wanted to take advantage of it. Adalyn has never played in the snow before. I thought she would be running all over the place in excitement. I was surprised when she literally just stood in one spot and did not move at all the entire time we were outside. Allie, on the other hand, was full of energy. She really wanted to make a snowman. There was hardly any snow on the ground so we gather what we could and made a her first “miniature” snowman. We stayed outside until the snow stopped and then came inside and warmed up with hot chocolate.
