Gavin and Amii were in the process of building their home and just a few weeks away from their move in date when they contacted me.   I love that they wanted to do a session not only to document this time in their life, but also so that they would have family pictures to up in their new house.   As they were finishing up on their house, we were able to get in to take portraits of Liam for their Christmas card.   It was such a meaningful backdrop and fun way to start the session.  I absolutely loved how Liam entire face lit up while Amii was interacting with him.   We then headed over to Nutbrown’s Christmas Tree Farm.   The setting and lighting couldn’t have been any more perfect!  One of my all time favorite moments during the session was when I asked Amii if I could grab a couple of pictures of her and Liam.   That moment between Amii and her son was absolutely breathtaking!   Gavin and Amii moved into their house shortly after their session and we got to do their premiere in their home.   It was so much fun to be apart of such an exciting moment in their life!   Just a week after I delivered the images, I got to see everything up in their walls.   I was completely blown away at how quickly they have turned their gorgeous house into a home.

I asked Gavin and Amii to write about their family and their experience and this is what they wrote

“Our family has been through a lot of changes in the past year. Through some of the rougher times, our world was entirely changed in the best way possible last May as we welcomed our baby boy, Liam. As we became a family of three, we also were in the process of building our dream home. Gavin and I knew it would be a stressful time, but our excitement to start our new life helped us to get through it.  As we started to see our house come together, I started planning out the decor and furniture, and realized there is nothing I would love more than some family photos to cover the walls of our new home. Our expectations were met over and beyond during our experience with Nicolette.  From the photoshoot itself to the process of viewing and ordering our photos, Nicolette truly made sure every step was personalized, stress-free, and enjoyable for us. When I thought of doing our family photos, I never could have imagined that not only would our finished product be so amazing, but that we would share so many laughs with someone so welcoming and enjoyable to work with!
