There’s something magical about capturing milestones. I am always amazed at how much a baby grows and changes from month to month. As a Pittsburgh photographer, I always feel honored when I get to document a baby’s first year.

I have been taking pictures of James since he was a newborn. I was so excited to see him again and celebrate his first birthday! The Christmas tree farm provided a stunning backdrop for his one year session. The way the sunlight filtered through the evergreens created a dreamy golden glow that highlighted every one of James’ joyful expressions.

This session reminded me why I love being a baby photographer in Pittsburgh, PA. There’s something truly special about capturing these fleeting moments of childhood and preserving them for families to cherish forever.

It is crazy how fast the first year flies by! I started taking pictures of Joelle when she was a baby and I got to take her newborn pictures. I have truly enjoyed watching her grow. This little cutie is adorable! Every time I see her, I feel like she has grown and changed so much. In the fall we did Sara and Brandon’s family session at Mingo Creek County Park. Mingo Creek County Park is such a great location for family photos. I love taking pictures in the creek and by the red covered bridges. Here are some of my favorite pictures from their session!

Baby Photography Pittsburgh | Mellon Park Six Month Photos | Grace

How beautiful is this family of three?! As soon as I arrived at Mellon Park on the day of Grace’s session, it started to sprinkle. Baby photography in Pittsburgh weather can be tricky! We decided to go ahead and get some shots in between the rain fall and I am so glad we did! How cute are these pictures of Grace with her mommy and daddy!

Grace’s little tutu was the perfect wardrobe choice for baby photography in Pittsburgh. It accented so well against the lush green flora of Mellon Park. Add to that, it was so soft and feminine that it contrasted beautifully with the stone in the walled garden.

Grace is such a smiley baby and she LOVED throwing her hands up in the air (as you’ll see below). Not to mention, she has the SWEETEST little cherub cheeks!

I had the privilege of taking Sarah’s maternity pictures last year and I am excited about taking Christmas tree farm pictures with the family this winter.

Baby Photos Pittsburgh | Soergels Orchard, Wexford, Six Month Pictures | Theo

Theo is quite the dashing little guy in his button down plaid shirt and matching bow tie! I had the privilege of taking Theo’s newborn pictures this past November and before you know it I will be taking his one year pictures as well. It is amazing how much Theo has changed over the past 6 months! I love, love, LOVE taking baby photos in Pittsburgh and getting to see my youngest clients grow and change! We took Theo’s pictures in Soergel Orchards in Wexford, PA, which is super special to his mommy, Sarah, because she grew up on an apple orchard.

The weather was a bit overcast the day we shot but as you can see it makes for some great lighting, and the orchards were so green and lush. I absolutely love taking pictures at Soergel Orchards when the apple trees are in full bloom! The blossoms on the trees make such a gorgeous backdrop!!

Baby Photography Pittsburgh PA | Soergel Orchards Six Month Photos | Annabelle

What an amazing day for baby pictures! The sun was absolutely beautiful as it shone through the trees at Soergel Orchards! The soft natural light during golden hour is one of the many reasons I love shooting baby photography in Pittsburgh PA. Not to mention, Annabelle looked so cute in her tutu, and the soft pink contrasted well with the greenery surrounding her. I just love her big blue eyes.

In the fall I got to take Annabelle’s newborn pictures. Since then, I had been counting down the days until Annabelle’s six month session. I couldn’t wait to see how much she has grown and changed over the past 6 months. Annabelle is beyond adorable! I love her cute little personality. I can’t wait to see her again in the fall for her one year session.

Soergel Orchards is a gorgeous place to shoot and has so much to offer. It it definitely one of my favorite locations for baby photography in the spring when the apple trees are in full bloom!
